My story – Learning AI Art and learning to be me again
Hey new friends welcome to Passive Income Designs!
I’ve worked with many clients and love my job but I still remember when I started!
It begins at the absolute bottom. The most difficult point in my life, divorce, job loss, moving countries with 3 little kids. I’m hoping for a happy ending but the story is still being written. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
In between this time was when I discovered AI art. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I’m a designer and illustrator, I love creating but between trying to find a place to live, dragging myself out of bed every day to show up and emotionally carry on, I found it hard to concentrate (apparently that is a side effect of stress)
And here was my escape, I could write down my thoughts and create these images, I could express my feelings without having to the leave my bed. These vivid images created were a release, a reflection of what was inside. It was as therapeutic as putting pen to paper and journaling every day and I fell in love with all the possibilities. It carried me through and I practised every day.
For me this creativity was not just an escape, but a path to rediscovering the light within the shadows of my life.
I tried all the AI image generators and joined different forums to learn. I used my own illustrations with AI to create different images.
I practised and practised, creating prompts that produced consistent designs and characters.
I started to sell here and there.
I didn’t wait until I had a website or business plan.
I just started. Just like I decided to start writing today.
I started.
And I grew.
I’ll go through my favorite projects, my most popular ideas. Sharing is healing for me but for today I just wanted to write down the beginning.

- Experiment with free AI Image Generators. Start by exploring free AI image generator platforms such as Nightcafe or OpenArt. These platforms are user-friendly and are a great way to experiment with generating images based on textual descriptions or blending existing images to create new art.
- Create personal art. Start designing and inputting specific prompts that reflect your stories, your identity, your imagination.
- Join every group or forum you can for information. There is a wealth of knowledge and resources available and eat it all up, every last crumb.
- Use your skills and find your passion. There is an AI image generator out there for everyone.
- Start. Try. Learn. Experiment. You never know where this journey may end.
There is no reason you can’t create your own content, just use your passions.
